I believe that crisis and hardship can serve as a positive impetus to search for a new path and a new sense of purpose. I believe that recovery is attainable. More than a diagnosis, I am interested in a person’s story, wishes, and needs. I believe in the power of words and dialogue, and in the fact that how we speak, think, and feel are interconnected. I view therapy as a dialogue that can bring new understanding, meaning, and ideas. In my practice, I also meet people with unusual experiences and strange sensations that can cause them great distress and fear, for which they have no acceptable explanation. This can manifest outwardly in behavior that others do not understand and can arouse fear and rejection, provoke conflicts, alienation, and loneliness, various limitations. In short, suffering. I enjoy helping people engage in dialogue, even about difficult topics. I was part of the founding of the Prague “Hearing Voices” groups, whose meetings I facilitated. I facilitate network meetings involving families, experts, and others connected by a given topic based on Open Dialogue principles. You can find me online at psychoterapievv.cz.
